
Doris Bloodsworth's writing was entered in the coveted Pulitzer competition. She is an award-winning journalist and author. She covered Florida's federal courts for Bloomberg News and formerly worked at The Wall Street Journal and Orlando Sentinel. Her freelance writing has appeared in numerous publications, including Florida magazine and the 2010 and 2011 edition of Songwriter's Market from the publishers of Writer's Market.
Bloodsworth's books have won critical praise. Images of America: GROVELAND and Images of America: CLERMONT, from Arcadia Publishing, the largest, regional history book publisher, were chosen for community-wide reads in 2010 and 2011. She has edited several fiction and nonfiction books, including ones that won regional and national literary awards.
A member of the Florida Writers Association, Bloodsworth graduated with highest honors from the University of Florida's College of Journalism with a minor in creative writing.
